転写の原則：構造は同一、出現様式だけが違う。

Transfer principle: the structure is identical; only the mode of appearance differs.

生命が膜によって持続するように、文化は制度によって持続する。
As life persists through its membrane, culture persists through its institutions.

文化における境界強度：

⟺ 規範・制度が、逸脱によって消滅しない
⟺ 違反があっても、境界が再確認される

逸脱は境界を消さない。
逸脱は境界を強化することさえある。

Boundary intensity in culture:

Transgression does not erase boundaries.
It can even reinforce them.

生命におけるNは「履歴を残す不可逆な選択」だった。

文化におけるNは：

N_culture = 意味が方向を持つ瞬間
          = 「それ」と「それ以外」が分かれる折れ

意味は生成されるのではない。
意味は許容される。

In life, N was “irreversible selection that retains history.”

In culture, N is:

N_culture = the moment meaning acquires direction
          = the fold where "this" diverges from "other than this"

Meaning is not generated.
Meaning is permitted.

許容帯域（lag acceptance band）がある限り、意味はその内側で安定する。
As long as a lag acceptance band exists, meaning stabilizes within it.

4. Z₀（出来事としての切断）｜文化特有の現れ

4. Z₀ as Event｜The Cultural Mode of Appearance

生命のZ₀：lagの臨界が自発的に切断する
文化のZ₀：lagの臨界が、出来事として現前する

Life’s Z₀: lag at criticality cuts spontaneously
Culture’s Z₀: lag at criticality appears as an event

Z₀_culture = 内因的臨界が、外形として"事件"になる瞬間

文化における観測とは、切断が出来事として現れることである。
In culture, observation appears as events of cutting.

具体的には：

• 法の制定・改正（「これより〜である」）
• 名付け・ラベリング（「あれは〜だ」）
• 宣言（「戦争状態にある」）
• 逸脱の確定（有罪／無罪、正統／異端）

Concretely:

• Enactment of law (“henceforth this is…”)
• Naming / labeling (“that is…”)
• Declaration (“a state of war exists”)
• Fixing of deviance (guilty/innocent, orthodox/heretical)

Z₀は、Bの分布に応じて発火する。
強度の高い領域では早く、低い領域では遅く発火する。

Z₀ is triggered according to the distribution of B.
It occurs earlier in high-intensity regions and later in low-intensity ones.

内外は、Z₀が発生したときに確定する。 すなわち、lagの臨界が出来事として現れた瞬間に、内外ははじめて“起きる”。

Inside and outside are fixed when Z₀ occurs. That is, they come into being at the moment when lag reaches criticality and appears as an event.

内外は、持続ではなく出来事によって確定する。
Inside and outside is determined not by duration, but by events.

なぜ同じ行為が、ある文化では許容され、別の文化では逸脱になるのか。

答えはBにある。

文化とは、単一のBではない。 文化とは、Bの空間分布である。

ある領域ではBが高く、ある領域ではBが低く、ある領域ではBが分散する。

この分布が、文化の構造を決める。

B高い文化：lag acceptance band が狭い
→ 逸脱が早期にZ₀を発火させる
→ 内外確定が速い（硬い文化）

B低い文化：lag acceptance band が広い
→ 逸脱がZ₀を発火させにくい
→ 内外確定が遅い（柔らかい文化）

Why does the same act get permitted in one culture and constitute deviance in another?

The answer lies in B.

Culture is not a single B. It is the spatial distribution of B.

Some regions exhibit high B, others low B, others distributed B.

This distribution defines cultural structure.

High-B culture: narrow lag acceptance band
→ deviance triggers Z₀ quickly
→ fast inside/outside fixing (rigid culture)

Low-B culture: wide lag acceptance band
→ deviance rarely triggers Z₀
→ slow inside/outside fixing (fluid culture)

文化の硬さとは、B（境界強度）の高さである。
Cultural rigidity is the height of B.
