0. Introduction｜The Shift

C. Wright Mills mediated the relation between trouble and issue through what he called sociological imagination.

However, this mediation remains a cultivated intellectual capacity—
a form of craftsmanship—rather than a generative mechanism.

This paper proposes a shift:

This distinction follows from the asymmetry whereby generation from ΔR to ΔZ is strong, while the return from ΔZ to ΔR is distorted.

Support generates structure through its invisibilization.

This is not a substitution.

It replaces sociological imagination with a generative operation.
